Wedding Checklist: 6 Things to Remember On the Night Before Your Wedding Day

Wedding Checklist: 6 Things to Remember On the Night Before Your Wedding Day

#1: Drink water and eat a healthy meal! It’s fun to celebrate and go overboard at the rehearsal dinner with a greasy meal and yummy cocktails, BUT don’t do anything too “out of the norm”. A totally different meal or routine can cause puffiness, extra queasiness, headaches, and more… You don’t want that on the BEST day of your life! Don’t be afraid to indulge a little - but be mindful and listen to your body!

#2: Just in case you cannot stick to rule #1 (it’s hard - we get it!), have your girls pack some extra ibuprofen, tums, water, etc. for the morning.

#3: SLEEP! People shouldn’t expect you to answer calls, texts, social media notifications, and emails the night before your big day. Put your phone on silent and make sure people know you want a full 8 hours of rest! Even if you can’t sleep due to excitement, it’s still crucial to have at least 8 hours of totally silent downtime. Pro tip: Have your maid of honor, your mom, or even a few of your besties wake you calmly (yet excitedly) in the morning instead of an annoying alarm clock!

#4: Have CASH on hand or give it to someone for the little things you may need. It’s also important to have this on hand to tip your wonderful vendors! If you need to pay the vendors on the day of the wedding, coordinate that with someone you trust so you don’t have to worry about it!

#5: While it’s important to make sure your ducks are in a row before the night of the wedding, we also want to encourage you NOT to sweat the small stuff! If you didn’t remember something, maybe it wasn’t that important in the first place! Just a little perspective. :)

#6: Remember, it’s your last night as FIANCÉS. Take a second before you part for the night to hug, smooch, and share a few words with each other. Don’t let the stress and chaos get in the way of remembering that this day is all about the TWO of you.

All in all, drink water, get some rest, take a deep breath, and give your future spouse a little love before you lay your head down at night! You can go to bed with a smile on your face knowing the next day is going to be the BEST day of your life!
