Photoshoot at Eagle Ridge

One bright side of having a little more downtime recently is that we were able to plan more styled shoots! Styled shoots are such a fun way for us wedding professionals and creatives to get together and try new ideas and techniques that add more variety to our portfolios!
This styled shoot at Eagle Ridge Resort in Galena did NOT disappoint! We got to play around with some BOLD shades of pink, purple, blue, and greenery and it was very different from our other styled shoots recently!
If you've been following along with some of our last blog posts, you've seen lots of bohemian and whimsical styles lately! So, it's always a nice change of pace to play with some BRIGHT colors and bold greenery. The overall vision of this styled shoot at Eagle Ridge was romantic, garden-style, and relaxed!
And how do you tie in a little bit of your wedding theme into your bridal look?! With florals in your HAIR! It makes us SO HAPPY anytime a bride wants to tie in some greenery or flowers into her hair. We used Italian ruscus! Check out how pretty this turned out!
Everything from the gorgeous shades of pink and purple to the off-the-shoulder bridal gown was romantic with a touch of modern (especially with the groom's style!).
For the flowers, we used lush flowers such as roses, snap dragons, fragrant stock, privet berry, scabiosa, plenty of peonies, and mixed greenery of course.
This bouquet was so fun. This style of bouquet is perfect for the bride who's looking for a rounded, yet loose and natural-looking bouquet. When I say natural and loose, I mean that I design the bouquet in a way that creates space between the blooms so they are not squished. I leave it to the shape of the flowers and their stems and just let them go with the flow!
Ahhhh and the ARCH! I LOVE it so much and it's a BRAND NEW RENTAL from US! :) We are so excited to start utilizing this! I love how unique and how versatile it is! I went with a one-sided piece with just a few pieces of greenery on the opposite side so that I could still show off the arch without completely covering it. This copper arch is 3D, which means that unlike the single-pole style, this arch has 5 layers to be able to stand under.
This was yet again such an AMAZING photoshoot to be a part of! Check out the talented professionals that helped this vision come to life!
