Holiday Gift Guide: Support Small Businesses

Holiday Gift Guide: Support Small Businesses

The holiday season will be here before we know it! Because 2020 has had such a negative impact (and some positive too, of course!) on small businesses, we really want to make it our mission to support more small businesses this year - especially local! We want to encourage as many people as possible to purchase from their local shops, restaurants, wineries, etc. So, let this blog post serve as a little reminder or inspiration for you to prioritize gift giving from small businesses this year! I promise... it means a whole lot more to a small brick and mortar owner than it does to a massive chain restaurant!

First off, we have to give some shout-outs to our favorite local restaurants! A gift card to a local restaurant is such a great gift because it's simple and it allows a family or couple to go do something TOGETHER. And who doesn't love having the night off from cooking and dishes?! Here are a few of our local favorites:

Kountry Kettle:

Manny's (our neighbor!):

We also think that such a priceless gift idea is purchasing a gift card for a photoshoot for a family! Family photoshoots are sometimes a "luxury" that we may not always plan for ourselves, so if you have a family or friend in your life that would love some fantastic family photos, we can't recommend our friends at Unposed Photography enough! You've seen countless photos from them on our website, blog, and social media. They truly do amazing work and purchasing a family photoshoot for some of your loved ones would be such a thoughtful gift! Check them out here:

Some great bottles of wine are always good to have on hand to add to gifts or to bring to hostesses of holiday parties! We love Wide River Winery, which is made locally but sold in stores all over! They have everything from dry to dessert wines and we are sure you'll love them! Check out Wide River Winery's website here:

Another great idea for gift giving is purchasing movie tickets or a gift card to a local movie theatre! There's something old-fashioned or nostalgic about going to the movie theatre with family, friends, or a date! Our neighbor, Savanna Times Theater, is fantastic and this is such a great idea for a stocking stuffer or to have some on hand for those last minute gifts that tend to come up! Check out their website here:

And let's face it... we can't go without telling you about some of our favorite items in OUR shop right now that we think would be amazing gifts! You can't go wrong with any of our...

    • Silk arrangements, home decor, and wooden signs
    • Accessories
    • Mona B bags
    • Bridgewater Candles
    • Gift card or Subscription Bouquets

Know someone who would love these?! ;)

We're sharing lots of photos of the goodies in our shop lately on Facebook and Instagram! Be sure to keep up with us there!

We hope this Holiday Gift Guide: Support Small Businesses edition inspired you to shop small this holiday season! Just remember your purchase goes so much farther when you purchase from a small, local shop! And you're impacting the families directly in your neighborhood! If you're not local to us, we hope that you take our ideas and support the local businesses in YOUR area!

Happy Holidays!
